For the same amount you'll spend buying inferior quality new clothing, one could own superb quality gently worn clothing. (What would you prefer to own - and wear! - for the same amount of money: fleece or exquisite cashmere; plastic handbag or genuine leather?)

• Thrifty consumers can find unbeatable bargains on pre-owned clothing with minor problems. (You'll find many gently worn clothing items throughout this Website that sell for $1 or $2.)
